Kirk D. Hendrick

Kirk Hendrick has been an attorney in Southern Nevada for over 30 years, calling Las Vegas home for over 50 years.

As a young attorney, Kirk was recruited by the Nevada Attorney General’s Office to prosecute insurance fraud. Later, he was promoted to Senior Deputy Attorney General (DAG) and then Chief DAG of the Attorney General’s Gaming Division, where he represented the Nevada Gaming Commission and Nevada Gaming Control Board. He also served as chief counsel for the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC).

After leaving the Attorney General’s Office, Kirk returned to private practice focusing on gaming and sports law matters. Among his clients were worldwide boxing promoters, and Las Vegas founders who purchased a struggling company known as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Kirk joined the UFC as General Counsel in 2002 and simultaneously started a solo law practice for supplemental support to UFC. During his 14+ year tenure, Kirk was a key member of the executive team that transformed an ostracized brand into a global phenomenon. Departing UFC after its 2016 sale, Hendrick founded his own consulting company, Hendrick Sports & Entertainment.

In January 2023, Governor Joe Lombardo appointed Kirk to be Chairman and Executive Director of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Kirk’s tenure focused on streamlining government procedures through efficient regulations.

Kirk has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences and meetings on the topics of government and regulatory affairs, gaming, sports law, and previously, white-collar crime.

Kirk currently spends his time investing, traveling and golfing.
